DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

Blank Canvas Living

Blank Canvas Living stands apart from other interior design companies by focusing on design concepts that reflect our clients’ individual personalities and lifestyle traits through our exclusive Colour Psychology System. No other firm in Victoria offers this unique approach.

Whether you’re renovating an existing home or building a new one, we work with the colours you resonate with to create the home you truly desire, rather than following fleeting fashion trends that can quickly become outdated. When you have colours that personally resonate with you, you are more satisfied with the end result. By conducting a Colour Psychology Décor Analysis at the beginning of our service engagement, we develop innovative solutions tailored to your unique blank canvas.

We create the desired emotions for living spaces using design elements of colour, textures, proportion, balance, form, function, and creativity to achieve a unique and personal space that you will love to live in.

Colour Psychology puts YOU back into colour

No pigeon holing you into a bland, soulless and boring space or cookie cutter mentality!

Decor Analysis

The Décor Analysis Report provides you with information on which colours you and your family resonate with and to assist you in how you want to feel in your home. I am then able to assist you with a colour palette of furniture and homewares that you and your family will love and enjoy for many years.

Karen did a colour reading with my wife and me, it was extremely eye opening and the report provided was informative and educational.
During the process it was fascinating to see Karen read out my wife and my character traits off of the colours we chose and also what we disliked! Highly recommended and a wonderful experience.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Thank you to Karen at Blank Canvas Living for her help and direction when we had to move our office to a new premise. There were walls to knock down, and then paint, refurnish and help with lighting and window dressings. Karen listened to my requests and guided me through the process. We are so happy with the Clean, Uncluttered and Professional space that she helped us achieve. I would recommend Karen and her services to Business's and Private Customers wanting a clean crisp feel to their work environment and home.. Thank you again Karen

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Karen was so lovely to work with. My partner and I were struggling to align with how to style some of our rooms. Karen was instrumental in getting us both on the same page and helping us create such wonderful relaxing living spaces that we can share with family and friends. Karen did a great job offering us practical and stylish suggestions for furniture and then managed the logistics of deliveries and set up which at times was challenging due to some of our unique choices. Thanks Karen for all your efforts and work on our house 🏠

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Karen at Blank Canvas gave my home a lovely transformation. We worked together easily to change five rooms of my two level townhouse into a design which suited my love of an outdoor adventurous lifestyle. This was achieved by combining a few pieces of antique furniture and ephemera collected over many years along with art and photos of special destinations and dining experiences. They were all skilfully integrated into the design. Colour was carefully used in the soft furnishings and rugs as well as a beautiful table made from Messmate and chairs to match as well as display shelving made from the same timber. The design was finished off with fabulous state of the art LED light fittings consisting of suspended lighting in the kitchen and suspended concentric LED rings in the lounge and family dining area. The trades she employed for electrical and other works were friendly and efficient. Karen finished the work by displaying and arranging all of the old and new items. She also discovered a few items on completion of the work which enhanced the finished project. I highly recommend Karen as being someone who is easy to work with and is able to integrate my thoughts, ideas and lifestyle into a lovely home.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recently had my lounge suite reupholstered. I found going through Karen a breeze. She made it so easy for me and took care all of my concerns by choosing the right material and colour for me. I can now remove the cat and dog hair easily with my brushomatic and it looks great! Although I could search for an upholsterer myself, I would not know who I was appointing. Again Karen made it so, so easy.
